QUESTA is the lead sponsor of a team of Fylde coast hikers scaling Africa’s tallest mountain for charity.
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Steve Mannion, who has been featured on the BBC Super Doctors Series and works at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and seven others will be treking to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in January 2014.

They hope to generate £10,000 for Feet First Worldwide – Steve's charity which supports a world-wide programme of recognition and management of club foot.
Feet First Worldwide was created in 2003 and Steve gives his time and expertise to treat physical disabilities and teach orthopaedic procedures to medics in disadvantaged countries. He has just returned from helping the relief effort in the Philippines.

The team will be starting their trek on January 22nd; each hiker is personally funding their own trip so 100 per cent of the funds go to charity.

Among the hikers is Cleveleys dentist Ed Monteiro who spent the first 14 years of his life in Tanzania, East Africa. Ed hopes that by raising money for Feet First Worldwide he will be able to give something back to a country that has enriched his life.

Anthony Hoskisson, Director of Questa Chartered, explained: “We’re delighted to be supporting this incredible fund-raising effort for Feet First.

"Steve Mannion’s energy, commitment and generosity is truly inspiring, and we wish the team every success.”

They fundraisers are almost a quarter of the way towards reaching their fund-raising target.
