Molly Delivers Seminar to Dentistry Students at ULan

Questa’s Molly Clayton has delivered a seminar to dentistry students at the University of Lancashire, focusing on practical financial planning as they prepare to enter professional practice.

The seminar, titled Building a Secure Financial Future from Day One, was led by Molly Clayton and aimed to equip students with tools and knowledge to support their transition from education to employment, including protection, savings, pensions, and long-term financial planning.

The session took place at University of Lancashire’s Preston campus and was attended by final year dentistry students. Topics covered included ways of protecting their income, preparing for self-employment or salaried roles, and understanding personal taxation and pensions.

Molly Clayton, financial planner at Questa said: “When I was starting out, I didn’t have access to this sort of financial guidance, so it felt really rewarding to offer students the kind of advice I would have valued at their stage. They asked great questions and were genuinely interested in learning how to make smart financial choices early on.”

The seminar formed part of a wider effort by University of Lancashire to introduce financial education into the student experience, recognising the increasing need for graduates in clinical professions to understand both personal and professional financial responsibilities.

Questa is an independent financial planning firm based in Lancashire. The firm provides services including retirement planning, wealth management, tax and estate planning, and mortgage advice to individuals, families, and businesses across the UK.

Molly added: “It was great to see a university putting financial well-being on the agenda for healthcare students. These students are about to enter a complex profession, and knowing how to manage their money from the outset will help them avoid stress and build confidence as they move into work.”
