The Amazing Ellie Jo Lovini LIVE
at Fylde Rugby Club
Lytham-born country artist returns home for a one-off free concert
Friday 4 July | From 3pm | Fylde Rugby Club | FREE entry
Lytham-born country singer-songwriter Ellie Jo Lovini is returning to the Fylde coast for a special FREE one-off live concert at Fylde Rugby Club on Friday 4 July from 3pm.
Now based in Florida, Ellie – who many local people will remember as Ellie Armstrong – left Lancashire at the age of 11 after securing a football scholarship in the United States.
Since then, she has gone from the football pitch to the country music stage, releasing her first album of original music and performing across the US.
Now she is coming home.

A homecoming with a country soundtrack
This free concert gives local audiences the chance to see Ellie perform live in the place where her story began.
It is a proper full-circle moment: a Lytham-born artist, now making music in America, returning to perform for family, friends, old teammates, local supporters and country music fans from across the Fylde coast.
And yes, it takes place on 4 July – Independence Day – which feels rather fitting for a Florida-based country artist coming back to Lancashire.

From Lancashire to Florida, football to country music
Ellie was born in Lytham St Anne’s before moving to the United States as a child.
She went on to play football in America, including representing Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjacks in NCAA Division I competition.
But music was always there too.
During her time in Texas, Ellie was asked to sing the national anthem at a football game. That performance led to more opportunities, including a support slot for country artist Randall King at Banita Creek Hall in Nacogdoches, Texas.
That same venue would later inspire her song and album, I Could See Me.
The story behind “I Could See Me”
Ellie first visited Banita Creek Hall while exploring the opportunity to study and play Division I football in Texas.
She walked in, took in the stage, the dancing and the atmosphere, and had one of those rare moments where the future suddenly feels possible.
She could see herself singing there one day.
Eight months later, she did.
That memory became the inspiration for I Could See Me, a song about belief, ambition and sensing a future before it arrives.
Making the track even more special, Ellie’s father, Gary Lovini, the internationally known violinist, played fiddle on the album.
“Coming back feels like coming full circle”
Ellie Jo Lovini said:
“Coming back to perform so close to where I grew up feels like coming full circle. I left Lancashire as a kid with big dreams and a football scholarship, and now I’m returning with my own music. It means a lot to share this moment with family, old friends and people from the community that helped shape who I am.”
A special afternoon for the Fylde coast
Anthony Hoskisson, President of Fylde Rugby Club, said:
“It’s great to welcome Ellie back to the area. My son played football with her when they were children, so it’s been amazing to see the path she’s taken since leaving Lancashire. To have her return and perform at the club on Independence Day makes it a really special occasion for local people who have followed her journey.”
