Questa Backs Lancashire Triathlete in World and European Championship Challenge

By Questa

Questa is sponsoring Lancashire triathlete Neil Hunter.

Neil, from Great Harwood, won British Duathlon Championship titles in 2021 and 2022 and secured silver medals at the European Duathlon Championships in 2022 (Bilbao, Spain) and 2023 (Venice-Carole, Italy).

Questa’s sponsorship will support Neil as he prepares to compete in three major European and World Championship events in 2025. The events are the European Standard Distance Duathlon Championship in Poland, the European Middle Distance Triathlon Championship in Pamplona, Spain, and the World Long Distance Triathlon Championship in Pontevedra, Spain.

He qualified for these championships in 2024 by winning his age group at Ironman Cascias, Portugal and the Ironman Middle Distance triathlon in Weymouth, Dorset.

Stuart Dewin, Director at Questa, said: “Neil is an incredible athlete, and we’re proud to support him in these upcoming championships. His dedication and achievements are inspiring, and we can’t wait to see him compete on the world stage.”

The European Standard Distance Duathlon Championship takes place in Rumia, Poland, on 27 April 2025.

On 17 May 2025, Neil will compete in the European Middle Distance Triathlon Championship in Pamplona, Spain, tackling a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride, and 21.1 km run.

He then competes at the World Long Distance Triathlon Championship in Pontevedra, Spain, on 29 June 2025, where he will take on a 3km swim, 120km bike ride, and 30km run.

However, the season isn’t over for Neil, in September, after a short break, he tackles the Ironman World Championship in Nice, France before his season culminates in November when he competes in the Ironman Middle Distance World Championship in Marbella, Spain.

Neil Hunter said: “I’m really grateful for Questa’s backing, which makes a huge difference in preparing for these races. These championships are a big challenge, but I’m ready to give it everything and hopefully bring home some great results.”

Neil’s participation in these events places him among top international athletes, with the races serving as key fixtures in the global triathlon and duathlon calendar.
