Questa Supports Blackpool-based Road Racing Cyclist
Blackpool-based financial planning practice Questa has agreed to sponsor local road racing cyclist Lizzie Hermolle as she pursues her dream of becoming a professional.
30-year-old Lizzie from Blackpool rides for the UCI Women’s Continental team DAS-Hutchinson. She previously rode for Team Boompods in 2024 and finished 13th in the British National Championships – Women’s Road Race.
Questa’s support will contribute to her training and competition expenses as she prepares for the upcoming season.
In addition to her cycling career, she works as a physiotherapist at Sargent Fitness in Blackpool and has previously worked as a first-team sports therapist at Blackpool Football Club.
Lizzie said: “Cycling at this level comes with a lot of sacrifice and costs, so having Questa’s support is a massive help. It means I can focus on training and racing without worrying so much about the financial side, which is a huge relief. My hope is to secure a place in a professional team.”
The sponsorship aligns with Questa’s commitment to backing local athletes, following its recent support for Lancashire triathlete Neil Hunter, competing in multiple European and World Championship events in 2025.
By supporting Hermolle, Questa continues its investment in local sporting talent. Last month, Questa announced it is sponsoring Lancashire triathlete Neil Hunter. Neil, from Great Harwood, won British Duathlon Championship titles in 2021 and 2022 and secured silver medals at the European Duathlon Championships in 2022 (Bilbao, Spain) and 2023 (Venice-Carole, Italy). Questa’s sponsorship will support Neil as he prepares to compete in three major European and World Championship events in 2025.
He qualified for these championships in 2024 by winning his age group at Ironman Cascias, Portugal and the Ironman Middle Distance triathlon in Weymouth, Dorset.
Anthony Hoskisson, managing director at Questa, said: “Lizzie is another fantastic athlete, and we’re proud to support her as she takes on top-level competition. We know how much hard work and dedication she has put into competing at the highest level, and we’re excited to see her progress.”
Lizzie’s upcoming season will see her race across the UK and internationally as she continues her development in professional cycling.
