Questa Backs Charity Golf Day as Fundraising Total Tops £200,000

Fairhaven Golf Club has surpassed the £200,000 fundraising milestone for Brian House Children’s Hospice, with over £20,000 raised at this year’s Community Charity Golf Day.

Questa was among the corporate supporters of the event and entered two teams in the tournament, finishing second overall. The event brought together players and sponsors from across the region to support the hospice, which provides palliative and respite care for children with life-limiting conditions.

The annual golf day continues to draw support from local businesses and community groups. A total of 30 teams took part this year, including representatives from Questa, The Glendower Hotel, Beaverbrooks, and John Ardern Estate Agency. Funds raised go directly to Brian House, which must raise over £1 million annually to maintain services, with less than a fifth of its costs covered by government funding.

Anthony Hoskisson, Managing Director at Questa, said: “It’s always a great day out with a serious purpose. Brian House does incredible work for families across the Fylde Coast, and we’re proud to play a small part in helping them keep going.”

Brian House, based in Bispham, cares for around 80 children at any given time and provides a range of services including end-of-life care, bereavement counselling, and creative therapies. The hospice operates on a daily cost of over £3,500, most of which must be met through donations, retail income, and community events such as the Fairhaven golf tournament.

Questa is an active supporter of local initiatives, also sponsoring Blackpool Wren Rovers football club and backing youth hockey tours. The firm’s commitment to grassroots sport and charitable causes aligns with its broader community engagement strategy across the region.

Anthony added: “We always look forward to the Fairhaven event – there’s such a good atmosphere, and everyone’s there for the right reason. To be part of a day that’s raised over £200,000 over the years is something we’re really proud of.”

Fairhaven Golf Club has invited anyone interested in supporting next year’s event, including tee box sponsors, to get in touch via email at info@fairhavengolfclub.co.uk.
